To make your trip to Georgia smooth and enjoyable, here are a few quick tips on getting around, staying connected, and making the most of your time here.

Language – Georgian is the local language, but you’ll find plenty of English in Tbilisi and at the venues.

Taxis – Download the Bolt app for rides (simple, English-friendly, and you can pay by card or Apple/Google Pay). In the Tbilisi city, you can expect a confirmed ride within 1-2 minutes of the request, irrespective of the time or location. Please note you will not be able to book a taxi outside of the city with convenience, therefore do not count on it for your travels outside of Tbilisi.

Taxis in the city, and our wedding transfers for the venue, will be the easiest transportation options. Public transport use is limited for tourists / visitors. Should you wish to rent a car to reach the wedding venue in Tsinandali (and/or travel beyond Tsinandali), please do so via international agencies (e.g. Hertz).

SIM Cards – Pick up a quick Magti or Geocell SIM at the airport or city shops—data is fast and cheap. You can install an eSIM within minutes in Magti offices (have your identification with you for registration).
Cafes & Restaurants – Georgia is famous for food and wine; meals are affordable. We included some restaurant recommendations below.
